so proud of myself

I've been wanting to build a NAS(Network Attach Storage) for a very long time.

A NAS that have 60Tb of HDD storage, therefore I've been looking for 6 10TB HDD for a while.

Today my friend told me that his boss is selling a bunch of used hard drives.

So with no hesitation, I said yes to the deal, it good prices, its enough for my foreseeable usage, they still have good qualities, and HDD prices is focasted to increase soon, so no brainer right?

But it cost about 34mil VND(about $1500), which will put a burden on my wallet

I still could with my owned money without any loans ofc, but that also means it will impact my near future plans (cross Vietnam trip, Korean, Vocal and Piano lesson I'm taking,...) which are all happen soon, so it's kinda a big risk to take.

And it's not like I need that 60TB rightaway, I still have a 14TB drive that I have not event attach to my server yet (lazy and procastinate :<)

So I text my friend again and said I'm not gonna take those drives anymore, and lost a bit of my reputation after that.

But it's a right thing to do. I need to be more responsible with spending money. And it also feel good after, I guess it's because I don't need to grind myself out to pay for those that I haven't need yet.

Ahh I'm so proud of myself...
